In
addition to long-standing wedding
traditions, a New Orleans wedding incorporates the following
traditions... |
|
The Second Line Wedding Processional Parade |
A New Orleans wedding has to have some form of a Second Line - it can be
very basic with a DJ or band. A true Second Line is led by a brass
plan. The bride and groom, along with their wedding party, dance
around with colorful parasols. The marching music is played and
wedding guests dance around in a line waving napkins in the air.
As the parade makes it way from the wedding ceremony to the reception,
crowds of people cheer and join in. It is exciting and
unforgettable for everyone! The perfect New Orleans wedding
memory. |
